Clear Teeth Aligners: Everything You Need to Know

If you are considering clear teeth aligners, you have come to the right place. In this blog post, we will discuss everything you need to know about this popular teeth-straightening treatment. We will cover what clear aligners are, how they work, the benefits and more! So if you are ready to learn all about clear teeth aligners, keep reading!

What are clear aligners?

Clear aligners are a popular teeth-straightening treatment that uses clear, plastic aligners to gradually move your teeth into the desired position. Unlike traditional metal braces, clear aligners are virtually invisible and can be removed for eating, drinking, and cleaning.

How Do They Work?

Clear aligners work by using a series of clear, plastic aligners that are custom-made for your individual teeth. You will wear each set of aligners for about two weeks before moving on to the next set. As you progress through the treatment, your teeth will gradually move into the desired position.

The Benefits of Clear Aligners

There are many benefits of clear teeth aligners, including:

  • “Invisibility”: Unlike traditional metal braces, clear aligners are virtually invisible. This means that you can straighten your teeth without anyone even knowing!
  • Comfort: clear teeth aligners are made of smooth, plastic material that is gentle on your gums and cheeks. Traditional metal braces can often cause irritation and discomfort.
  • Customisation: clear teeth aligners are custom-made for your individual teeth, which means that they will fit perfectly and work effectively.

What is the process for having clear aligners fitted?

If you are interested in clear teeth aligners, the first step is to book a consultation with our dentist. They will assess your teeth and determine whether the treatment is right for you. If so, they will take moulds of your teeth and create a custom treatment plan.

From there, the moulds are sent away to be made into your clear aligners. Once they are ready, you will come back in for a fitting. The dentist will give you your first set of aligners and show you how to wear them properly.

You will need to wear your clear aligners for at least 20 hours each day and can remove them for eating, drinking, and cleaning. Every two weeks, you will move on to the next set of aligners in your treatment plan.

You will need to visit our dentist periodically for check-ups so that they can assess your progress. Most people finish their treatment within 12 months.
